Ongoing Mission Opportunities
MISSION TRIPS TO WEST VIRGINIA
Twice yearly, Rev. Phil and individuals from First UP Church travel to West Virginia to help in various communities. In May of 2020, we head to Summersville! Past trips have included fixing roofs and helping to make a home wheelchair accessible. If you would like more information, please contact Rev. Phil at pastor@fupct.org.

INTERFAITH HOSPITALITY NETWORK (IHN)
IHN, coordinated by the Allegheny Valley Association of Churches, is a program that is committed to helping homeless families in our community achieve lasting independence. First UP Church hosts IHN four times per year. We provide a meal, fellowship, and an warm, safe place to spend the night. QUARTER SUNDAY
The second Sunday of every month, the children of First UP Church collect quarters and other money during the singing of the second hymn. Their goal is to collect $100 and 100 non-perishable food items for the local food bank.

TARENTUM FRIENDSHIP GARDEN
Join us throughout the year at the Tarentum Friendship Garden, located next to
Dreshar Stadium in Tarentum. Through this community program, we plant and
harvest food for anyone who helps, and for the benefit of the local food banks.

AVAC FOOD FOCUS
Throughout the year, the congregation collect nonperishable food items for the AVAC Food Bank!
When you go to the store, pick up an extra item or two and bring them to the church!
